Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to FlashXTool at tool.flashxcode.com (the “Service”), operated by FlashXCode Consulting (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.
1. The Service
FlashXTool provides vehicle information and coding services for BMW group vehicles, such as VIN Search, CarPlay Check, Vehicle Order (FA), SFA Repair Kit and NCD 2.0, plus free tools such as E-SYS Target and the FlashXTool desktop Tool. Some results come from third-party data providers.
2. Your account
- You must give a valid email address and keep your password (and 2FA, if enabled) private. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- New accounts get a demo car with sample results. Access to the desktop Tool is granted by us separately.
3. Prices, wallet and payments
- Paid services are charged from your prepaid wallet in euro (EUR). The price is shown before you run a service and may change for future orders.
- You add funds with PayPal (including card payments processed by PayPal). We never see your card details.
- The price is reserved when you start a service and charged only when a result is delivered. If nothing is delivered (for example the VIN is not found, no data is available, or an error occurs), the reserved amount goes back to your wallet automatically.
- Wallet balance can only be used for services on FlashXTool. It can't be withdrawn, exchanged for cash or transferred to another account, except where the law requires otherwise.
4. No refunds for delivered results
Some results are digital content delivered immediately. By running a service you ask for immediate delivery and agree that, once a result has been delivered, it can't be cancelled or refunded, to the extent permitted by law. Check the VIN before you search, and for NCD 2.0 check that the FA and SVT files are the correct exports from ISTA for the same vehicle. A result delivered for a wrong VIN or wrong files is still charged.
Files (PDFs, ZIPs, token files and your uploads) are kept on our server for 30 days and then deleted. Download and keep your own copy; after deletion we can't restore a file, but your order and result details stay in your account.
Opening a result you already bought is free. Asking for fresh data for the same vehicle is a new order and is charged again.
5. Results and your responsibility
- Results are provided “as is”, based on the data available from the provider and BMW at that moment. We don't guarantee that every result is complete or free of errors.
- Coding, flashing and importing files (FA, NCD, SFA tokens) into a vehicle is done at your own risk. Back up the vehicle data first and work only if you know the procedure.
- Use the Service only for vehicles you own or are authorised to work on, and only for lawful purposes.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service, including: trying to get results without paying, accessing other users' data, interfering with the Service or its security, automated or bulk access without our written permission, or reselling access to the Service.
7. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to contact@flashxcode.com.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for damage to vehicles or control units resulting from the use of results or files. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for services in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Trademarks
BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, ISTA, E-Sys, CarPlay and other names are trademarks of their owners. FlashXTool is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by BMW AG or Apple Inc.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply to orders made after they are published.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where FlashXCode Consulting is registered, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
